ADSS vs. Lashed Fiber

Would you use a canoe to navigate the Great Lakes? Sure, it can be done, but a canoe is probably not a good choice for that trip. What about taking a power boat up a river that requires portages to avoid waterfalls and rapids? It, too, can be done but switch the watercraft on those two trips and the outcome will be much better. Network construction needs should be guided by similar logic. There are two basic OSP fiber networks; point-to-point and point-to-multipoint.
