Atlanta’s new Mercedes-Benz stadium connected by 4,000 miles of fiber

Fan experience means everything in stadiums. That’s one reason why the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta is connected by more than 4,000 miles of fiber on a passive optical network to support IoT-connected systems throughout the building. The 71,000-seat stadium has 90 miles of audio cabling and nearly 2,000 wireless access points for Wi-Fi connectivity. Fiber also delivers sustainability.  Power and cooling savings lower the carbon footprint while increasing operational efficiency.
