The Internet of Things will enable billions of smart devices to connect to mobile networks via narrowband signals. At the same time, these networks must continue to support high-bandwidth applications such as video streaming using wideband signals. Network operators need to manage these different types of connections while maintaining the required quality of experience for each, and minimizing the need to invest in new equipment.
