There were several news stories this month that require some attention and analysis. One was the news that Google Fiber is “pausing” their expansion after they acquired an ISP called Webpass that does a lot of wireless. The second has not gotten as much attention but may be even more important – fixed broadband expansion growth in the US has slowed, in fact it is declining. Both these stories deserve some analysis. Let’s start with the second one.
