Grove City to build fiber optic network for faster internet service

Grove City Mayor Richard “Ike” Stage used to think about extending water and sewer lines to property he hoped would attract developers to help his city grow. Now, Stage and other public officials are trying to improve the 21st Century version of infrastructure. Grove City is spending $4.65 million to build a municipal fiber optic network to soup up the current one-gigabyte speed for internet service for it and other public entities involved in the project.
