Molex has acquired Fiberguide Industries, a manufacturer of customized optical fiber solutions based in Caldwell, Idaho. As a global specialist in optical fiber arrays and cable assemblies, Fiberguide is uniquely positioned to help Molex address the stringent needs of medical applications, including high-power laser surgery, DNA sequencing and flow cytometry.
AFL has received five new U.S. patents over the past quarter for technology and developments in the area of connectivity and fiber-optic cable. Four patents were received for connectivity, two of which coincide with AFL’s ASCEND high-density platform.
