AT&T pushes Ethernet fibre speeds to 400Gbps between NY and DC

AT&T, working with Viavi Solutions, says it carried Ethernet services at that speed over a commercial system between the two cities carrying live traffic at 100Gbps. The company’s senior vice president for network product management, Rick Hubbard, said: “Our approach to roll out the next generation of Ethernet speeds is working. We continue to see enormous data growth on our network, fuelled by video. And this will help with that growth.”
