VIAVI Solutions will purchase Cobham’s wireless test and measurement and AvComm connectivity branches for $455 million. Both company’s boards have approved the sale, which is expected to close later this year pending regulatory approval. Viavi, which primarily produces network testing and monitoring solutions, was formerly part of JDSU Uniphase corporation before that company split into Viavi and Lumentum Holdings in 2015.
