Tellabs has announced that its Tellabs™ Optical LAN (OLAN) has been chosen by the Marine Corps Systems Command Network Communications Infrastructure (NCI) Program Office to modernize its existing network architecture to a high availability Unified Communications solution at Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point, North Carolina. This installation will be the first fully Unified Capabilities (UC) IP-based network for the Marine Corps.
