Equinix’s new International Business ExchangeTM (IBX®) data center, named DC12, will enable enterprises and government agencies to address new opportunities in the digital economy – and its location in Loudoun County is no coincidence. According to a story by CBS Sunday Morning, 70 percent of all global web traffic runs through Loudoun County daily. The county has the largest concentration of data centers in the world with more than 70 buildings spanning 10 million square feet. A market study published by Equinix predicts that the area will see interconnection bandwidth grow at a rate of 39 percent annually, reaching 323 Tbps by 2020.
