This presentation will cover the concepts, planning, design and installation practices for remote powering applications such as PoE (Power over Ethernet) and PoH (Power over HDBASET) that use communications cabling to deliver power to a variety of devices ranging from WAPs, DAS, VoIP phones, lighting and the emerging IoT (Internet of Things) devices. It will describe the requirements and guidelines in recently published documents including NEC 2017, ISO/IEC TS 29125, and TIA TSB-184-A.
