One of the most pressing challenges we face in IT infrastructure is talent. There simply are not enough available, qualified people in the current talent pool to do all the work. In 2016, there were 3 million more STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) jobs than available, qualified people to fill them. Thirteen job openings for every available, qualified person. And the gap is growing.
