Texas A&M to build data center on abandoned Air Force base

An old World War II Air Force base in Bryan, about 100 miles east of Austin, may be the site of a new data center. The Texas A&M University System is looking for developers to build the 30-acre data center on its 2,000-acre RELLIS campus, according to an announcement. The plans come a few months after the University of Texas canceled plans for a data science campus in the Houston area.
